Ingredients Needed
- 1 (15.25 oz) box of strawberry cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp. strawberry dessert topping
- 1 tbsp. milk
Substitutions
Missing an ingredient? No problem! Here are a few ways to switch things up:
Cake Mix: You can swap in lemon or vanilla cake mix for a fun twist (but let's be honest-strawberry is the star here).
Oil: Melted butter works in place of oil for a slightly richer flavor.
Eggs: No eggs? Try ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce per egg for a softer texture (but know it may affect the chewiness).

if I double the recipe do I use a 13x9 pan
Kristy Richardson says
Yes you would use a 13x9 pan to double the recipe. Likely the brownies will also take a little longer to bake. Check them at 20 minutes for doneness, but I would expect it will take closer to 30-35 to finish baking.
