    Spooky Halloween Deviled Eggs Recipe

With creamy, tangy filling and black olive spiders on top, these deviled eggs for Halloween are fun to make and even more fun to eat.     Ingredients needed:

    • 6 large eggs
    • Mayonnaise
    • Mustard (yellow or Dijon mustard works great!)
    • Dill pickle relish
    • Salt and pepper
    • Black olives

    How to Make Halloween Deviled Eggs

    These spooky deviled eggs are simple to make but look impressive on your Halloween appetizer tray.

    Step 1

    Place the eggs in a pot of boiling water and cook for 11 minutes. Optional: Add 2 tsp. baking soda to help the shells peel easily.

    Step 2

    Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Once cool, peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.

    Step 3

    Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth. Add the mayonnaise, mustard, relish, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix until creamy.

    Transfer the yolk mixture to a piping bag or use a spoon to add the filling into the egg white halves.

    Take black olives and cut in half. Place an olive half on the center of each deviled egg to form the spider's body. Slice additional olives thinly and quarter the slices to make the legs. Place an olive slice on each side to complete your spider.

    • Mixing bowl
    • Fork or potato masher (to mash the yolks)
    • Spoon or piping bag

    • Slotted spoon (for removing eggs from boiling water)
    • Bowl for ice water bath

    Ingredients
      

    • 6 large eggs
    • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
    • 1½ teaspoons mustard yellow or Dijon
    • 1½ tablespoons dill pickle relish
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • About 24 black olives for spiders

    Instructions
     

    • Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then cook for 11 minutes. (Optional: Add 2 teaspoons baking soda to make them easier to peel.)
    • Transfer the eggs to an ice water bath to cool completely. Once cooled, peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.
    • Scoop the egg yolks into a bowl and mash with a fork. Add mayonnaise, mustard, relish, and salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
    • Transfer the yolk mixture to a piping bag or use a spoon to fill the egg white halves.
    • Cut black olives in half. Place one half on each egg to form the spider body. Slice additional olives into thin strips and cut into pieces for spider legs. Arrange on the egg around the olive body.
    • Refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy your spooky deviled eggs for Halloween!
