Few treats are as nostalgic for me as Wendy's iconic Frosty. Now you can recreate that perfect chocolatey-thick texture at home with just six simple ingredients and a blender!

Frosty in a mason jar with chocolate chips and a black and white checked napkin.

Did you dip your french fries in the frosty or was that just me?

    Ingredients needed:

All of these ingredients are pantry stapes without any weird ingredients.

all Wendy's Frosty ingredients including vanilla ice cream, milk, chocolate syrup, sweetened condensed milk, and sugar.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
    • 1 cup whole milk
    • 2 cups vanilla ice cream (softened slightly)
    • ¼ cup sugar
    • ½ cup chocolate syrup (my pick: Hershey's syrup)
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Food processor with added chocolate syrup and vanilla before blending.

    Add remaining

Add ice cream and chocolate syrup. Blend on low, then high until smooth (1-2 min).

    Freeze

Pour into a loaf pan or airtight container. Freeze 5 hours, stirring once halfway for creaminess.

    How to store

Short-Term (Same Day): If you prefer a soft-serve texture, transfer the blended mixture to a chilled metal bowl or loaf pan and freeze for 3-4 hours, stirring every hour to prevent ice crystals.

Long-Term (Up to 2 Weeks): Thawing: Let sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping. For a quicker thaw, microwave in 10-second bursts (stirring in between).

    Freezer Pro Tip

Store in an airtight container (like a freezer-safe jar or Tupperware) with parchment paper pressed against the surface to prevent freezer burn.
