    Ditch the salad bowl and turn a classic Caesar salad into a hearty Chicken Caesar Sandwich. Juicy marinated chicken is layered on a crusty roll, topped with a crisp Caesar salad mix for a sandwich worth writing home about.

    It's fresh, filling, and versatile. The chicken can be grilled for smoky flavor or pan-seared for a quick weeknight option. And you can prep the ingredients ahead of time so you can build these sandwiches whenever you're ready.

    Add a tasty side dish like skillet potatoes or bacon and baked beans and make it a feast.

    How to make a Chicken Caesar Sandwich

    This is such an excellent recipe for a weekend cookout or Sunday brunch. Prep the ingredients ahead of time for a truly easy meal.

    Try adding crispy bacon or swapping in a flavored roll like garlic ciabatta for a fun twist.

    Dressing in a glass bowl with mustard, garlic, and olive oil added but not yet mixed in.

    Mix the marinade

    First, place the ⅔ cup Caesar dressing in a medium bowl. Add the minced garlic, Dijon mustard, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well blended.

    Marinate chicken

    Add chicken pieces to a large zip-top bag or other airtight container. Pour the marinade over the chicken and mix to coat well. Place in the refrigerator for 8 hours.

    Cook Chicken

    Lightly oil your pan or grill and heat to medium-high heat. Place the chicken on your cooking surface and cook 4-5 minutes. Flip and continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes or until cooked through. The internal temperature should be 165. Set aside.

    Make the dressing

    Combine the ½ cup Caesar dressing, mayo, and sour cream in a small bowl. Mix until well blended.

    Mix Salad Topping

    Place the chopped romaine lettuce in a large bowl. Add in the Parmesan cheese and dressing mix. Toss to coat evenly.

    Assemble Sandwiches

    Place the cooked chicken on your roll and top with the salad. Enjoy!

    Ingredients
      

    • 4 Thinly Sliced Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
    • 4 rolls Ciabatta Rolls

    Marinade Ingredients

    • ⅔ Cup Caesar Dressing
    • 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
    • ¼ Cup Olive Oil
    • ½ teaspoon Salt
    • ½ teaspoon Pepper

    Topping Ingredients

    • 3 Cups Chopped Romaine Lettuce
    • ½ Cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
    • ½ Cup Caesar Dressing
    • ¼ Cup Mayo
    • ¼ Cup Sour Cream

    Instructions
     

    • Place the ⅔ cup Caesar dressing in a medium size bowl. Add in the minced garlic, Dijon mustard, olive oil, salt and pepper. Mix until everything is well blended.
    • Place the chicken in a large zip top bag or other airtight container. Pour the marinade over the chicken and mix to coat well and refrigerate for 8 hours.

    To cook the chicken

    • The chicken can be cooked in a skillet or on a grill. Lightly oil your surface and heat to medium high heat. Place the chicken on your cooking surface and cook 4-5 minutes.     To make the topping and assemble the sandwiches

    • In a small bowl combine the ½ cup Caesar dressing, mayo and sour cream. Mix until well blended. Place the chopped romaine lettuce in a large bowl. Add in the Parmesan cheese and dressing mix. Toss to coat evenly.
    • Place the cooked chicken on your roll and top with the salad. Enjoy!
