How to Make Big Mac Sloppy Joes

This one-pan easy dinner comes together in a large skillet over medium heat-no need to hit the drive-thru.

Ground beef being browned in a skillet with a wooden spatula.

    Step 1

Spray a large skillet and place over medium heat. Add the lean ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until no pink remains. Drain the excess grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the skillet.

Onions cooked until soft and translucent in a skillet.

    Step 2

Add the diced onions and cook over medium heat for 5-10 minutes until soft and translucent.

Ground beef sprinkled with garlic powder and onion powder.

    Step 3

Return the ground beef mixture to the skillet. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir well so the seasoned beef is evenly coated.

Mayo, special sauce, and chopped pickles added to the cooked beef.

    Step 4

Add diced pickles, Thousand Island dressing, and mayo to create the secret sauce. Stir to combine, then simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sloppy joe mixture is heated through.
