📝 Ingredient notes:
- 4 Chicken breasts - use boneless skinless chicken breasts for easy shredding
- 10.5 oz. cream of chicken soup -
- 1 ranch seasoning mix - 3 tablespoons if using the large jar of ranch mix
- 1 c chicken broth or water - I use homemade chicken stock but will use stock in a box when I am out.
🔄 Substitutions
Boneless skinless chicken thighs can be substituted for the chicken breasts but I would use 8 thighs in place of the 4 breasts.
Cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup could be substituted for the cream of chicken soup if you are in a pinch.
Water can be swapped out for the chicken broth but you are going to need to adjust the seasonings after the meal cooks.

📝 Frequently asked questions, answers and tips:
I make a cornstarch slurry to thicken this gravy if it happens to be too thin. Whisk together 2 Tbsp. cold water with 2 Tbsp. cornstarch in a small bowl. try to get out the lumps. Pour the slurry over the gravy and shredded chicken. Add the lid back on and let cook for 10 minutes or until thickened.
👩🍳 Chef Tip
Make a double batch in the slow cooker and serve the leftovers for lunch at the office.
