  • 1 Cookie Sheet ½ Sheet Size

  • 1 Cup Butter Softened
  • 1 ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup White Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Eggs
  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Cups M&M's
  • 2 Cups Chocolate Chips

  • First preheat your oven to 350 and line a baking sheet (make sure it is a jelly roll style baking sheet with edges all around) with parchment paper. Butter the parchment and sides of the pan, this will keep the cookies from sticking.
  • Next the bowl of an electric stand mixer, or in a large bowl add the butter and sugars. Mix with a paddle attachment, or an electric mixer until well blended and light and fluffy.
  • Then add in the vanilla extract and the eggs, continue mixing until well incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, whisk until well mixed.
  • Add the dry ingredients gradually into the wet ingredients mixing well after each addition. Once the flour mixture is all incorporated you should have a thick cookie dough.
  • Now add in chocolate chips and one cup of the M&M’s fold in by hand with a spatula or wooden spoon until evenly distributed.
  • Using a spatula or buttered hands spread the dough evenly into your prepared pan.
  • Sprinkle reserved 1 cup of M&M’s across the entire surface of the cookie dough.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool completely on a cooling rack before cutting into 24 squares with a sharp thin knife.
