Asian Green Beans

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb green beans
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 4 dried red chilies
  • ½ tablespoon Sichuan peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili oil

Instructions
 

  • Wash and trim the green beans.
  • Heat a pan over high heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the beans and stir fry them over high heat until the beans are a little charred (2-3 minutes).
  • Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan add 1 tablespoon of oil. Add dried red chilies and Sichuan peppercorns followed by minced ginger and garlic, and fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add beans along with light soy sauce, rice wine, salt, black pepper powder, sugar, and chili oil.
  • Stir fry for 1 minute.
  • Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

You can store the ASIAN GREEN BEANS in an airtight container for around 3 days in the refrigerator or for around 2 months in the freezer.
Use canola or peanut oil for the best flavors.
